second word is most definitely maritime - it's a sailing ship (as well as a wine glass)

Hi lady bee. Re my answer to apachedav re question 35, I thought apachedave was saying that 'maritime' was the last word of the answer cos' it has 8 letters
I do agree that the last word has to do with maritime. Hope I have not confused him

Hi lakegirl.
The word I have got is a name for the main ship of a group e.g an aircraft carrier with smaller vessels.
The first half of the word is an (old) method of signalling and the second
half is the vessel.
10. Need a bit more of a clue with this one re gas in the boats.

Hi Winnie and Lady Bed. I agree that the second word in 35 is a type of boat but, if I’ve got the first word right, the two word phrase is not a maritime phrase.
