Nonplussed. 76. Trawler has a net? Not convinced it is correct, which is why I asked. If you have a better idea, I'd be grateful for a hint!

Thank you Loobyloo, got those now. I have an answer for 11 Competent in dallying but held the rank of petty office (6) which begins with T and ends with L. If this is not right then a hint would be gratefully received.
I also need ideas for 21, Doctor enthralled by destiny, had time to become a high flyer and 27, Tender for marine craft(9).

11. Yes! 21. Avian. 1st. word -4 letter word meaning destiny around 3 letter word for fix, 2nd word porridge! 72. Jovial vessel. Can't think of anything better than trawler for 76, so will probably go with that. Hey ho!

Hints please for my last two -
85. Stammered ran away with one- the man in charge. I thought of Tom Tom the pipers son but got nowhere.
98. Interpol - a department that collected and returned the boat. I have no ideas.

85 Anagram of first two words plus a single letter - gives someone who has a seafaring qualification.

98 Hidden in the clue but look backwards not forwards.

Hello everyone. Thanks for some of the clues given but I am completely stuck on my last three despite being given clues already. These are:
53. No pretence about team leader breaking up the fifty men having a row. (11). Clue given: anagram of 2 words plus another letter? Have anagrammed various words but still not got it?!

60. Safe craft can go equally well either way (5,4). Clue given: another word for ‘safe’ + marine craft. Found loads of alternative words for ‘safe’ but none fit?

63. After last orders grasping, greedy women become cheats (8). Clue given: Order + google greedy woman ?? Found another clue somewhere else implying it’s a “mythical monster in Greek mythology” ??

Any more help would be appreciated and then I can put it away for the time being, many thanks.
