Brendan, even though I'm not an Everyman fan (or even a regular solver) I always enjoy looking at your weekly discussion of the puzzle. I thought you'd gone AWOL last Sunday!

Thanks Malone, I really appreciate that. I was indeed AWOL, I went out with some friends and didn't get back 'til the wee small hours - I did think about doing the crossword and my blog but wasn't really in a fit state - anyway, Clarkgwent ably filled the void.

Normal service should be resumed this week - I hope!
