Better than last week. Trickiest (and best) clue 17d

27a not far behind.

Straightforward and very fair, one of the better Everyman’s of recent weeks I thought. We’ve seen some imaginative uses of ... recently! 18a is quite funny.

Yes, a very fair puzzle. 13a and 9d are funny too.

13and 9 my favourites too. I was glad of the "primarily" clue, as I've never heard of the answer!

Really enjoyed this, one of the best set of clues I’ve seen in a long time. I loved the humour - 18ac was fun too and brilliantly efficient, would easily have been COD for me in most weeks if not for 17d which is a classic!

Enjoyed this week's too, 27a esp. am stuck on 26a - any clues welcome, is it a kingdom?

I really enjoyed this - it was full of wit and some devious cluing. I completely fell for the "South American" trap:-)

I unusually finished this quite quickly before coming to the forum to see how you all were enjoying it. A new British expression for me in 9d; over here the last word shifts to an outdoors enthusist. At least there was no cricket to research. I agree about 18ac and would add 16d to the clever clues. Stay safe and cool -- a challenge here.
