It a brand name of a lager. Brando yells this name repeatedly in one of his popular black and white movie. I haven’t seen this old movie either. If you got the name, search for it in YouTube.

Hi Chrise
Yep, 13A really isn't fair. Absolutely fine if you've seen the film; verging on the impossible if you haven't. Plus, the answer's a brand name, which makes it doubly difficult.

I enjoyed this and it was nice not to have so many anagrams as recently. But what is going on with 10a? I think I know what it must be, but no clue whatsoever why.

10a: plural of a Greek letter containing ‘empty’ the, and then three letter synonym for pasty. Yes, tough one.

Enjoyed this weeks and agree with the observations. Fewer anagrams, etc. Still stuck on two but determined to get them so will go to mow the lawn and return with fresh eyes. Might even go for a long drive to test them.

AS soon as you get 8, it has to be a pangram - which does help a bit.

While I was out for my walk, I tried to remember all the films I've seen with Marlon Brando in. I managed 2 - Guys and Dolls and Superman!

I'm guessing the relevant one is On the waterfront.
