Grid filled , shading done , not sure how the 2nd message tells how to resolve the clashes? Any help please?

Hi kirky, it's pairing the extra words from the clues where clashes occur.

I think the replacements should be initials.

I have a full grid with the shading done and the initials inserted in the appropriate places once I had found a map. However I still cannot work out what goes below the grid unless it is the title of the work. Any hints/pointers would be much appreciated.

read up on google what the unshaded bit was called........

I loved this, and was able to go immediately to my bookshelves to check the references. Suddenly I was 7 again. Bliss!
