Wow these both seem REALLY easy. Now you've given me the answers!

After completing the puzzle with all the omitted letters re-homed I'm left with a fairly large quibble. The setter promises that ambiguities will (actually 'may') be resolved - but 5dn could be either GOWNS or GOANS. I don't submit but hope the editor/checkers are aware of this failing.

I think it needs to be gowns as you need the A for one of the across answers. You don't need a W as far as I can see.

I'm sorted apart from the original grid entry at 15a. It can only be "UNI" but not a clue about the four letter solution.

Seems an anomoly that in such a difficult puzzle the original answer isn't required for a correct final grid.

I had the heartless nazi, but my German dictionary gave me "nach" for "to".
