As for 28Ac, Wikipedia has it as an alternative spelling, admittedly with accents or symbols above some of the letters.

I have 40 cells to highlight, but some of the words seem very "iffy" to me. Across I have 9 and 6 letter words. Down I have 6, 6, 6 and 9 letter words. In two cases across and down words intersect. Does everybody else have the same?

That configuration is the same as mine.

None are iffy as far as I can see?

What ones are you having doubts about?

Thanks for the confirmation djawhufc. I didn`t particularly like the words beginning at cells 26 and 34, but on reflection I guess they must be okay.

It can be found in Chambers, but only in the definition of an alternative name for a couple of the other entries.

Very easy grid fill and fairly easy endgame. However, I seem to be at odds with 7d where the only word I can see that fits is ‘lint’, so where does tree come in. Unless I have got 13 wrong, which I don’t think I have. Anyone have any ideas?

I believe it is line. A double definition of flax and an archaic definition of lind (which is a tree)

Wow, thanks ginge and djawhufc, I would never have thought to look up line. I was so fixated on lint I couldn’t see the wood for the trees.
