I haven't seen the puzzle yet, but this thread may come in handy....

A lot easier than last week. Also a well worn theme.

Thought I was doing so well. Romping through the clues. Found the architectural features twice. But can’t for the life of me find aquatic feature. Please send help. Also stuck on 32 d and 34 a.

Water feature is a four letter poetic river beginning with A.

32d in wordplay PA is fort

34a ridge is extra (and a part of a very good hint for theme).

Answer is a three letter word for thus (beginning with S) in reverse.

Thank you for helpful hints. Got the theme now and 4 of the other features. Last unsolved clue is 22a. Hints please.

Before is A in wordplay.

For father think French.

I have a full grid, the symmetrically placed features, but am at a complete loss as to what the six other features are - and I do have 9 of the 10 superfluous words!!!

For 22a, father is a common 4 letter European term.

Smelly trees!

Thank you. Just got to find the 6th smelly tree. Found 3 of them across and 2 of them down. Should I be looking down or across?

Sorry out and about without my grid and can’t remember off the top of my head. Early onset senility!

The clues with extra words should help as per preamble.
