Excellent puzzle - but help with 34ac please. After removing FARROW how do you get DARI as the answer to the clue?

I think it could be - 'fantastic' = RAD (rolling/reversed) + I(n).

I think we actually have to remove “Farrow, maybe” from 34ac, as Mia is an example of someone called Farrow, rather than being equivalent to Farrow.

Thanks Malone. 19a has got me started again although I suspect I will be back!
With 17a I am still struggling. I felt that my answer with TOONS reversed, giving expression of contempt was OK. I don't get TRONS. What am I missing, I wonder? I assume the misprint is in the last word-a place in Scotland perhaps?

Catkin, glad I could help - and glad you got 17 A resolved. I didn't know you had an erroneous O, but it's all sorted now!

Struggling to parse 12d, and also 14a. I thought I had solved the latter but now I wonder if I'm correct. Can you help, please.

Hi Cass - 12 dn is C + three-letter city + starts of liable etc, arriving at definition, which is a variety of farm animal. There's a misprint in last word. 14a is an Australian resort with one of its two-letter combinations changed to m, arriving at definition of "scar". "Hidden by bride" also contains a misprint.

Hope that helps.

drxx - thank you for that. I am sure that you are right but I do not like slang words being so used in quality puzzles.
