Hi everyone

I love these alphabetical crosswords. I started late due to a terrible cold and visitors. The latter left earlier today and the cold is on the way out, so I made some progress today. I've been filling them in the grid, but am short of a couple of answers and can't get them in the grid.

Any hints for N, a thematic word, which I think has crossers N?U???E
Similarly for D, another thematic
and B, also thematic. BU?D?N?

I haven't managed to find all the answers that are split up. I've got the W,Y and H, but what else should I be looking for?

N

Style is Art, then 'poor' leads to an anagram.

Iy doesn't contain a 'U'

Hi roof, for B
B(6) is themed, B(7) is not. Apart from B, none of the other letters you show are correct.
D(5) has the usual synonym for a bend, inside an instruction.

This was an enjoyable holiday puzzle and most of the clues were straightforward. However, as is often the case with Maskerade, I experienced difficulty in parsing two clues.

Guidance would be welcome on the following:
Almost gag, about to bring up a little apple (6) Quinoa
Copy from traveller around country - article's missing (9) Reproduce
Any help appreciated
Thanks

Copy... Rep = traveller and Roduce = Ecuador, country, the A is dropped (article's missing) and it's reversed (about).

Thanks Malone

As ever I'm grateful to you. That is a difficult clue. Any thoughts about:
Almost gag, about to bring up little apple (6) QUINOA
Where does the apple fit in? Is it simply 'A'?

The other one puzzling me e is
Abnormal dryness round top of toe ignored (5) XERES

A happy holiday

Hello Mamya and Roof, on thematic N, I'm still trying to anagram art and Jane, is this an obscure food word?
Also need a steer on R. Small island seen during monsoon season. (7)
Roof asked about solutions to be split. Thematic E is one of those.

Lumen, that N IS an obscure food thing.

Your R one is thematic too. Put 'small' and 'island', the usual crossword stuff, inside a five-letter word for monsoon season.

Thanks Malone. Complete now.
I thought that R was not thematic. It was another spanner in the works wasn't it, that there weren't just 26 thematic answers. And the split ones, in a jigsaw! Took me a while. Not even looked at IQ and Spectator yet. Have you done both, are they nice?

Glad I could help, Lumen. The Inquisitor and Spectator puzzles were both very straightforward. I didn't particularly enjoy the latter, but that might be down to personal taste.
