I've just checked Oxford, which does give L as an abbreviation for 'lost'. It's odd that I don't recall seeing that use in a crossword before.

Hi malone. With regard to your message 8, I've been trying to find a film whose title is an anagram of PILOTS but with no success. Am I barking up the wrong tree? I've been through a list of all the films made by the co-star.
