Still got a few to fill in ...but ...where's the CLASH please?

A nice appropriate puzzle - and not too difficult

Here I go again" I have both unclouded entries, the clash, the victor etc but my 33ac seems to start with IEU??, and I cannot make sense of that. Any help would be gratefully received. Clue is 'Lacking quality when divide, equation confused John'.(5) Extra letter in wordplay is O.

your letters are correct ... it's a foreign version of John...anagram of equation minus QT(quantity)...and O as you say is the extra

1 D Just a five-letter word for 'ceasefire' with one of the common abbreviations for 'about' removed (abandoned).
