No it's what we had originally Ionian ...the 2 clues must be the wrong way round.

4 x 4 letter answers beg with E and C fit in the middle

Fearful, I have 5 letter answer that does not seem to fit in anywhere.

Is Single very blue is a 4 letter answer, it has no place in the grid.

i have dreading for the fearful answer ... as a reading is a lesson ....could fit on top row in left corner.

If you put it into last row on right, the whole line could be third reading. But thir must be wrapping around from Col. 1.

in the perimeter some words overlap
bottom row "might" be thirDreading ??

and solo fits in amongst 2 others in col 1
