Thanks Malone for Yvelines. I have 3 of the 4 8 letter answers but they don't seem to fit in the inner square 8 x 8 ??

Is Artemis the goddess answer?

Kirky, I'm having similar problems - at the moment I have five four-letter answers and they won't work with the four four-letter centre spaces. I'm wondering if the perimeter needs to be used, where a four-letter answer will become a five-letter one. I have loads of clues still to solve.

Kirky, I have the same thing with those two clues - my answers need the clues to be in the opposite order!

I have been wondering about the four letter answers too. As far as I can make out there are 31 word spaces in the grid, but 43 clues. Does anyone think there might be a whole lot of unseparated clues round the perimeter ?
