A four letter churchman without a 'name'.

Thanks Scorpiojo and Chrise. I've now finished including a D answer, which matches the definition, but I still can't see a churchman with no name.
By the way I got a new Chambers for Christmas to replace my battered 1969 version. It's considerably heavier.

Add an N at the end of your first three letters. If this doesn't give you a churchman, you've got the wrong answer!

Turkey eaten. Mince pies gone but I still haven't finished the crossword so please help. I can't find a single word that is i?x? and can't get the 4 letter o word. I can't find where to put my striped African animal beginning with z which probably means something is in the wrong place. and I can't get a word that is ?A?G?L?? - probably a singer or group I've never heard of beginning with v and an anagram of 'a single'.
I have put the 5 letter N word in the 4 down position but perhaps it should be in the middle?? Happy New Year to all (by which time I hope to have finished.)

Quite a lot to deal with! To start with, the I one is a group, the four letters pronounced separately (my favourite clue).

Actually I haven't got thsat quite right - the last two letters are pronounced individually.

I'm not convinced by my 4-letter O, but I think it's to do with owning.

The Zs aren't animals; the non-thematic one is normally spelled with an X rather than Z.

Your internal letters are wrong for the 7-letter A. It's thematic.

The 5-letter N is in the middle-ish.

Sorry, missed the first ? in the long one. Yes, it's thematic, beginning with V.
