Ikebana is Japanese flower arranging that stresses presentation in a natural state - hence 'as is'

Scorpiojo, I think you are some kind of genius to work out GR oats.
Mjh, I'm still not convinced by your ikebana theory. Surely ASIS is accounted for by "unaltered"? If I had had the sense to google adamant castle I would have discovered the "Savoyard" connection. I'm learning!

Same as the A clue, 2 references to the same as answer - unaltered is also a requirement in that type of flower arranging.

Ah, but Mjh, if it is a double reference then to go with the ikebana-based ASIS you need something else for the O, no?

Sorry everyone, I'm boring even myself now with this obsessive need to account for every letter. I'll let it go now. I enjoyed this one - some lovely anagrams.

But that goes with "unaltered"! Seems like a single reference for the O and a double one for the ASIS. Most irregular. I did say I would shut up - this time I mean it. Merry Christmas everybody!

OASIS is the trade name for the green foamy stuff that the fkowers are poked into in an arrangement.
