I have received complaints that there are too many threads on the same subject, ie Mixed Doubles, Times 26544, Times Cryptic 1231.

Could I please ask all users to add their queries to a current thread rather than starting a new thread on the same subject.

Just scan back a few pages to see if someone has started a thread on the particular crossword in which you are interested and use that for your query. It will come to the top of the Forum when you post and will prevent cluttering up the pages with duplicate threads.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Opening a new thread just to say thank you is unnecessary too.

Is anyone taking any notice of this request?

Since Norah put it up there have been several more duplications - see for the Everyman and yet another Times 25544

It would be better if it was "pinned".

They wont stick to it for the doubles quiz as there are so many pages they wont want to look through them to see if the answer they need is there.

They should be prepared to do the work if they're after a prize!

I totally agree Norah. Can you pin it? I certainly wouldn't have spotted it. I saw a reference to it on another thread. xx

I have asked Ash about 'pinning' the thread to the top of the Forum, I'll see what he says in due course.

It could be added to the "Posting tips". Trouble is, nobody seems to read them...................
