Can't for the life of me see 7ac Calls for strong acids (6). I Have ?h?o?s. I have read all previous posts but still in the dark. Any help appreciated.

litmus paper - strong acid would have ph one
calls = phones

5d is a changer so your O is wrong

I was late coming to Genius this month, so I hope someone is still around to assist me with a couple of problems.

For the life of me, I can't get 15d - which I assume will need changing.

Also a problem in top LH corner where I've got plausible answers but can't fit in the changes.

Am I right in the following dozen being those that need amending: 1d, 2d, 3d, 4d, 5d, 8d, 15d, 16d, 17d, 18d, 21d??

Not doing the XWord but neither 15d or 21d need changing of those you have mentioned.

All the downs except 9 are changed.

15d, ST (quiet) + ALL IN + G(reek) = playing for time

15d - defn is "playing for time"
letters 2,3,4 change
if you use the link ixion gave earlier you should be able to get the word and its changed word

Pretty obvious I don't do the crossword then - I cannot see the change in 15d.
