Rusty I don't know - no connection with the Tour for 5 minutes - did not see anything ! Am waiting for replays to be put up, and also interviews.

Quintana is not quite there though, if Froome had stayed on his bike, Quintana would not have passed him i don't think.

It seems that Richie Porte was behind a camera/bike which was more or less stopped by the public, Richie fell (unhurt), someone else as well and Froome's bike got damaged -
No room for his car to give a bike so he walked - he then had a bike that did not suit him so he walked until his car eventually gave him a proper bike.

Might be a special decision by the Tour Officials.

So all due to too much crowd - Perhaps they should put more barricades at top of mountains !

Pigale, a motor bike stopped, Porte hit it and brought down Mollema and Froome.
Froome's bike was wrecked. His team car was blocked, so he started running up the mountain.
Eventually he got a bike from the Mavic car.
That was useless. He eventually got a Sky bike but had lost the yellow jersey.
It does not seem right to me, no matter what the rules say.
Yates is in yellow.
Froome is 6th.

Not sure yet Rusty - The Tour's Commissaire might decide to allow an exception to the rules.

Hello, Pigale,
Romain Bardet said there were too many motor bikes on the mountain today, and with the crosswinds made the stage even more dangerous.
I wonder why that motor bike stopped?
Crowds? Did he hit someone?
All I know is that Froome was very unlucky to lose the jersey in these circumstances.

The crowd made a wall that made it impossible for the bike to ride -

The Commissaires are still discussing what they should do and the yellow jersey has not been named yet !

Hello, Pigale,
The Tour jury said Froome will stay in yellow.
That is the latest I have on Twitter.
I am not a fan of Froome but I think that is a sensible decision.

Hi Rusty,

I think it is pretty fair - the only other option would have been to allocate 2 yellow jerseys (if only for one day); The decision is not everyone's cup of tea, only 50% applauded Chris on the Podium - there are some who say that he was not the only one losing time (which is quite true)
On the other hand, there does exist the 'rule of KM3' which could apply there.

I personally am quite happy ! Why don't you like Froome? I know you like P. Sagan who seems to be a very pleasant person, but C. Froome is a very good almost all-round rider (and has a very good team!)
