Hello, Elle,
Yes, I'd like to know how the Carvery etc responds.
I think the normal practice is that the seller "sends" a label for the buyer to print off.
I have no printer, so I need a proper label sent to me.
I'd prefer to send it back, Elle, as I have had a full refund and the watch is not mine anymore, the way I see it.
I'll see if they send a label, though.
Hopefully my son is calling.
I've not heard that he isn't anyway!

Hi, Rusty!
I haven't had much experience of needing to return goods.
Apart from the Paper Cavalier incident, the only time I have needed to query the condition of an article is when I was sent a "used" book that didn't match up to the "Very good" standard described.
On that occasion, Amazon replaced it, but didn't want the original back...I was told to bin it or give it away!
I can understand your feeling the need to return the watch, now that you have a full refund.......but surely only if its return is paid for?
You don't want to be out of pocket, when the fault lies with the seller.
I hope you've had a good evening with your son?
I am now going to watch "Eggheads"!

Good morning, Elle!
It's quite mild here.
I've returned a couple of things that I've bought on eBay over the years.
Fairly straightforward.
Yes, I agree, my watch return must be paid by seller.
So far, though, there has been no contact between seller and me.
EBay and PayPal did what was required.
Another scam attempt last night.
An email purporting to be from BT telling me to update my account because of Brexit!
I've sent the email to BT's phishing department and deleted email.

Hi, Rusty!
I am just home briefly in between taking the dog to and from the Groomers!
It has been a very busy morning.....
I took the dog out early, then went over to the Groomers and left the dog there, for a bath and a trim.
That takes about one and a half hours, so I am to go back for her by 1.30 pm.
Since then I have been shopping down in the village.
I've just returned home to dump the shopping, and transfer the relevant food items to the freezer.
Now I am away out again to go back to collect the dog!
Phew! it's all go!

Good evening, Rusty!
I am home now to stay....
I have had a very hectic day!
I took the dog out briefly, after her grooming session, just making it home before it rained.
And only just getting back, too, before a large parcel arrived, borne by an Amazon courier, for my son!
My son has just moved flats ...and no longer has a Concierge at his new property ...hence the package delivered to us!
A good job, indeed, that I was here!
He will collect it when he visits next week.
That was an odd scam by email from BT, that you received, wasn't it?
The topical mention of Brexit was a crafty move!
I wonder how many people fell for that one?
Can you not adjust your Junk mail settings to a higher level?
I have a choice of filters, for blocking at different levels.
I rarely get anything in my Junk mail box...and I never open anything that does get through, deleting on sight.
Well, I guess I'd better sort out dinner....
Today has just whizzed by!
What sort of a day have you had?

Good evening, Elle!
I had two parcels today, but they were for my neighbour.
The scam was odd, yes.
One part read "failure to comply could lead to the "suspense" of my account".
That does not read right to me?
Is that expressed poorly?
I passed it on to BT, but I have had no reply from them.
I am not aware that I can adjust incoming mail settings.
I can go days without getting an email, so I am not very bothered about the odd scam attempt.
I had a butcher's takeaway meal for my tea.
Tatties and mince, and it was fine!
I found the puzzle tricky today!

Hi, Rusty!
I did not know that one could pass on suspected spam emails to such as BT?
The few that I get, I just delete straightaway.
Yes, if you click on the "Settings" icon on your email page , there is a whole range of options there from which you can choose.
I have my emails etc personally "tailored"!
But then I use email a lot....on and off all day long.....
As you don't , you probably do not need to opt for any particular choices.
Your butcher sounds the "real deal" - I wish he lived near me!
Now...I meant to ask you...did you watch that channel 5 programme yesterday about malicious and spam phone calls?
I think it was called "How to Stop Your Nuisance Calls"?
I thought I had set the recorder for it, but something went amiss!

Hello, Elle,
Yes, I found the address for the spam a few days ago.
phishing@bt.com
It is my son's butcher.
He gets me a meal when he visits the shop.
Yes, I watched the nuisance calls programme this morning.
It was interesting.
Some poor folk had lost a lot of money through the scams.
The advice given was to sign up to the Telephone Preference Service (TPS), and don't tell the caller anything, or do as they ask/tell you.
I am with TPS but still get scam calls!

Hi, Rusty!
We signed up with TPS years ago!
It is useless!
But I find the BT 1572 number is fairly good?
I report all fake / scam calls to that number, and it does cut down a lot of the troublesome calls.
For instance, we very rarely get the "accident " calls any more.
I well remember the guy who told me that he had heard that I had been in an accident ......and when I denied this, told me that I "must have forgotten" .....and had I banged my head?!
I do wonder where they get these cold callers from!
Btw, speaking of scams and so forth, I am pleased to report that Amazon did return all the money that they had "taken " from my Barclaycard!

Hello, Elle!
I use 1572, too.
I tell the spamsters that I don't have a computer and I am not online.
They hang up immediately I say that.
I get the accident calls, too.
I tell them that the accident was definitely my fault and I lost my license because of it.
That's a good result you had with Amazon!
