Hi, Rusty!
I think "prink" is what ladies do in front of a mirror?
I have read of it in books, although never heard the term used in day-to-day living!
There was a question about Dundee on "Fifteen to One"....
What comic book character is a statue in Dundee?
I did not know it, but I expect you will?
Minnie the Minx.

Hello, Elle!
You knew "prink". Well done!
I had never heard of it.
There is a statue of Desperate Dan in the High Street.
Have you heard of him?
There may be others, possibly Oor Wullie, but I'm not sure.
But Wullie was/is in a newspaper rather than a comic.
Are you saying there is one of Minnie the Minx?
Wonder where that one is?

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I know of Desperate Dan...he was a character in The Dandy.
I think the statue of Minnie the Minx is also in the High Street?
You have Dennis the Menace , too, don't you?
I think, though, that Dennis , and Minnie, too , are from The Beano?
I could have that wrong, though?

Hello, Elle!
That's Minnie the Minx behind Dan in the photo.
Dan's dog is called "Dawg"!
Dan is/was in the Dandy, not sure of the others.
I have an idea that we have a Bash Street in town, now.
Named after the Bash Street Kids.
I don't know if we have a statue of Dennis.

HI, Rusty!
Ah yes, I looked again...….and saw Minnie hiding behind Desperate Dan!
I could be wrong about there being a statue of Dennis.....
I may just have assumed it, when hearing about "Bash Street".
Yes, I am sure that Dennis and Minnie the Minx were in The Beano.

Hello, Elle!
Dan's a big lad!
I can't think of a statue of Dennis, but there is one of Oor Wullie.
And there is a statue a few yards away from Dan, of a dragon.
The dragon features in local folklore.

Hi, Rusty!
I don't know "Oor Wullie"?
And a dragon? What Scottish folklore is that?

Hello, Elle!
Oor Wullie was in the newspaper, The Sunday Post.
A very popular young lad!
There is a legend that just outside town, many years ago, there were nine girls killed by a dragon.
The dragon was then killed by a man called Martin.
There was a farm and railway station called Baldragon.
A village called Strathmartine, and there is a pub close by, called The Nine Maidens.
So, that, briefly, is the tale, and now we have a sculpture of the dragon on the High Street!
