Hello, Elle!
There are one or two variations of orang utan, I think, orang on its own being one of them.
Now, both Chambers and Collins give "remaining" as a word for "other", so I'm content with that.
The example Collins gives is "I'll read the other sections of the newspaper later".
I'll guess, "tie the knot"!
Wonder if Malone has seen it?

Good evening, Rusty!
It did not rain after all......and is now a lovely evening.
Has your grandson now arrived to visit you?
It has just occurred to me to wonder, rather belatedly, why he would be working today?
It says on my calendar that today is a public holiday throughout the UK?
In honour of May Day.
But maybe this does not apply to everyone?
Certainly all our shops are open.
But all our offices are closed.
We have just had dinner...spaghetti bolognese .
Very tasty!

Good evening, Elle!
My grandson has been and gone.
Had a good chat!
I would say, Elle, that in these parts, it is very much the minority who are off today.
My surgery was open, but my chemist was not.
And shops, garages, factories, etc are all working normally.
I had a cheesy haddock fish cake for my tea, and ginger nut biscuits!

Hi, Rusty (and Elle), I hadn't seen the 'tie the knot' clue - how timely. It'd be really good if 'handfasting' came up soon!

Hello, Malone!
I think we could be in for a bit of a wait before "handfasting" appears!

Rusty, you're probably right … and I'm not a very patient person!

Hi. Rusty!
That is good that you and your grandson got together for a chat.
Is it tomorrow that he gets the keys to his new house?
I rather think you mentioned a Tuesday, but cannot rely on my memory!
No doctors open here, nor local chemists, nor banks or other business offices.
My daughter had an official day off, as her office was closed.....and all the children had a holiday, as schools were closed.
But super markets and "corner shops", though, were open.
And all the bigger departmental- type stores were open for business as usual in neighbouring towns.
Cheesy haddock sounds good!
I sat down to watch Eggheads...and fell asleep!

Hello, Elle!
He gets the keys on Wednesday, now, he says.
No football for him tonight.
He is having an early night.
He was at the Bonfest at Kirriemuir at the weekend.
Seems it was pretty tiring!
The cheesy haddock fishcakes are very good.
ASDA's own make.
Seemingly lots of activity at the loch today.
The ranger said there were six intruding ospreys and Laddie is hard pushed defending his territory.
Such is Nature!

Hi, Rusty!
Well, still not long to wait till Wednesday!
I am sure he is excited!
Your grandchildren are branching out on their own.......first Miss ATW with her flat, now your grandson.........
And it is great that you are able to help them, too.
What is a "Bonfest", Rusty?
I had checked in on Lassie this morning, but all seemed calm.
At that point, there was no update on the blog.
After what you have just said, I read the latest blog update......
What a kerfuffle!
I do hope the pair succeed in scaring off all intruders.
It is especially worrying as hatching time must be very close!

Hello, Elle!
Yes, my grandson is very excited.
Good to see the young ones getting on.
The Bonfest is an annual music festival at Kirriemuir, named after Bon Scott, who was lead singer with rock band AC/DC.
Bon grew up in Kirriemuir.
Seemingly there were around fifty bands playing over the weekend.
Here's a little bit about Bon.

Here's hoping Laddie and Lassie cope with the intruders.
On a positive note, it's good to hear that there are more and more ospreys coming to try and establish (or steal) nests here!
