Hi, Rusty!
I shall check through, and, where possible, set the recorder for the Highlights for the remainder of the week, so that I do not get caught out again!
Yes, the opera singer was very good, wasn't he?
And, as you say, so was the girl in the red trouser suit (I cannot recall her name , either!)
I also liked the last singer.
The female panellist is Jennifer Hudson.
She has been a coach on a few of the shows now...I like her.
She comes over as very genuine, don't you think?
She is an American singer and actress...... she apparently became famous when she was on American Idol (I'm not sure when that was)
Now...... you can blame ITV for the 'ignoring' of the unchosen contestants!!
I, too, do not like this...and nor did any of the coaches when it happened .....
This was NOT the original format of the show.
When "The Voice" was with the BBC, and a singer remained unselected, he/ she would remain on the stage after the performance, and then all the coaches would then turn their chairs simultaneously.....
And offer whatever support and helpful advice that they could to the rejected candidate.
The unfortunate 'loser' then went away partially comforted, and often immeasurably helped along on his/ her career path.
I thought this was a much nicer way to run the show!
There was definitely a "feel good factor" about it all , then.
But ITV regrettably changed the style of the show......

Oops! Look at the time..... my turn to ring my cousin!

Hello, Elle!
I would much prefer the BBC way of producing the show, Elle.
ITV's way is ill-mannered to say the least.
I can't imagine the audience or viewers liking the way unsuccessful contestants are treated.
I felt for the ignored singers.
They were doing their very best, I'm sure!
They should at least have been rewarded with a comforting word or two.
I think, if Tom Jones is going to offer you a kind word and some advice, it could mean so much to you.
The name "Jennifer Hudson" is familiar to me, possibly because you have mentioned it before.
I watched The Greatest Dancer.
I don't rate the show very highly, at all, average at best, and goodness knows why Alesha Dixon got herself involved with it.
She is far better suited to the BGT panel.

Hi, Rusty!
I have been talking to my cousin for the past hour and a bit!
She tells me that they are forecast snow for tomorrow.
Is this a likelihood for you, as well?
Yes, I much preferred the Voice's format when the BBC were in charge of proceedings!
There was a lighter, more relaxed atmosphere, as you can imagine, and one felt that help was being offered the contestant on whatever level was required.
It may be my imagination, but I also thought that, under the BBC's jurisdiction, the show was a tad slower, less hectic and less noisy!
However, I still like it! Just less so!
I don't like "The Greatest Dancer".....

Hello, Elle!
No snow forecast for me, so far.
Will be quite cold though.
It is unusual for shows to change channels.
So, why did BBC let a successful show go to a rival channel?
Here are the highlights of Federer versus the young Greek lad (I'll have to learn his name!) https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/tennis/46940267

Rusty, now that Sloane's out of the Australian Open, I hope you're learning how to pronounce 'Pavlyuchenkova'? I'm sure you'll be cheering her on, shouting encouragement at your tv set....

...and after that, Tsitsipas will trip off the tongue very readily, I'm sure!

Hello, Malone!
I think I'll be calling her "Blondie", a lot easier on the tonsils!
I may cheer on Madison Keys, I think.
But it's a quite open tournament and some great tennis being played!

Rusty, I'd hate to be a commentator - never mind keeping track of shots, scores etc, I'd be stumbling over many of the names! I don't always watch the women's matches, but I keep an eye on what's going on. I'll watch out for Madison.

Hello, Malone!
Yes, the names are very difficult to pronounce!
John McEnroe seems to manage, though.
I hope Madison goes well, and I like Naomi Osaka from Japan, too.

Hello, Malone.
There is no love lost between Sloane Stephens and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
This happened in a previous tournament.
