Hello, Malone,
This is a clip of Sloane Stephens being presented with her cheque for $3.7 million for winning the US Open.
Her great friend, Madison Keys, is alongside her.
I thought it quite funny!

Hi, Rusty!
I am home now.....it is just beginning to go dark.
Yes, we have had a sunny day here, too, but very cold.
I am glad that you, and your grandson and his girlfriend, enjoyed your time together.
What did you have to eat for your breakfast?
Does the restaurant have a "speciality"?
The birthday bash went well!
BB obviously enjoyed himself!
I have seen that clip of Sloane accepting her cheque, before.
The two girls are really great mates, aren't they?
It is nice to see.
I missed today's tennis Highlights......
Anything of note happened?
Any one gone out of the tournament unexpectedly?

Good evening, Elle!
I had a crispy bacon roll and a glass of water for the breakfast.
The young ones had bacon and egg rolls.
Does the restaurant have a "speciality" what?
It has wonderful views across the river.
Is that what you mean?
That's good the birthday celebration went well!
Yes, it is very refreshing to see Madison and Sloane enjoying themselves.
They are great buddies!
I have not seen any of the tennis today.
But I know Madison won her match today, and Sloane plays tomorrow.
And tomorrow will be tricky as the Alpine skiing is on, (for me) and Miss O and me are heading out for a wee while, too.

Hi, Rusty!
Sorry...I meant did the restaurant have a special food dish?
A number of restaurants are often known for their "speciality" - a recipe in which they particularly excel.
Now.....I have consulted my pal Google...and in the women's tennis today , all the players whom one might expect to win did so .......
Pliskova, Halep, Serena Williams, Muguruza, Madison Keys, Sevastova, Osaka, and Svitolina are all through.
(Venus Williams went out to Simona Halep)
Nothing strange or startling seems to have happened in the Men's matches...but I found I that did not know some of the men's names.
Ah yes, you and Miss O are off to the Pine Come tomorrow, aren't you?
You are indeed having a busy - but exceedingly nice - weekend!
Maybe you can record the Alpine skiing?
Nearly time for "The Voice"......

Hello, Elle!
I do not know if they have a special dish.
I do not look at the menu and have heard no one mention it?
On their website they list where all the food comes from.
Local farms and fishing ports.
I think they go out gathering mushrooms as well.
What we had was very good, and the waitresses wore very smart uniforms.
I approve!
I am recording "The Voice" and "The Greatest Dancer", so goodness knows when I will get round to seeing them!
All the big guns are progressing nicely at the Aussie Open.
Pity it is not being shown on Red Button.

Hi, Rusty!
I know that feeling about recording programmes, and then not getting the time to catch up with them!
I still have not watched Vera Britten's "Testament of Youth"......
Keeping up with a series, or a serial, is difficult enough!
One of my favourites " Cold Feet" came back last week...and I still haven't watched the recorded first episode.
I am writing this in an interval of "The Voice" .... we have had an opera singer this week!
Oops...it's starting again......

Hello, Elle!
I read "Testament of Youth".
A good read.
When I watch recorded programmes, I "fast-forward" through the commercial breaks etc, so I can usually see the programme in much less than the original recorded time.
I'll look forward to the opera singer!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I've read "Testament of Youth" and its sequel "Testament of Experience".
I enjoyed both.
But I still haven't got around to seeing the film of the former.
Did you watch it ?
I remember our talking about the prospect of watching it, at the time it was showing on the television.
I notice that I mispelled Vera's surname before......it should of course be "Brittain".
( I fast forward though the adverts, too!)
Yes, I hope you like the opera singer.
But I was not as enamoured of the singers on tonight's "The Voice", as I sometimes am.
Of course, it does all boil down to personal taste, though, doesn't it?
I still enjoyed the show, though!

Good day, Elle!
A bit dreich here today.
I'm just home from breakfast out.
I was watching Federer's match earlier.
When I got home it was just a couple of points from finishing.
Roger lost 3 sets to 1 to a young Greek lad, who played very well.
John McEnroe is interviewing him now.
He seems a very nice young man and the Aussie crowd love him!
No sign of Sloane, yet!
