Hello, Kenyatta,
Yes, I have tried that and with a little extra help, too, from Malone, it did work!
Thank you very much for your help

Hello, Malone!
Thank you - finding the BBC Sports page online - and going to the Blue Box- worked a treat!

I don't know how your TV and Digibox work, but with mine, I got virtually as
far as Rusty instructed..... but once I reached the Athletics page , it listed the events...but did not tell me that Saturday's event was being shown on the RB.
Hence my confusion.

Thanks again!

Elle, my Digibox is easy to navigate around - but it does have a 'Guide' button. If I press that, a list comes up of what's currently on, but there's a Find button (yellow). If I press that and then key in Athletics, the first thing that comes up is your programme on Saturday. I use the BBC Live Guide more often - that just involves a quick click! I'm glad you now know all the options.

Hello, Malone!
What doesn't help, either, is that my equipment is inherited-- passed on from daughters when they bought bigger and better.
So I have no booklet of written instructions1
Daughters tell me "it's intuitive, mum!"
Well, it may be to them………..but not so, to me!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I do understand your instructions, you have explained very well, and yes, I can do all of that......
But when I get to the Athletics page , it simply lists the next lot of events.
Such as the Diamond League in Paris on Sunday. and the British Championshops in Birmingham on Saturday and Sunday, June 30th and July 1st.
But it does not tell me where to view them.
As I said earlier, maybe this is just something to do with my TV not being a state-of- the -art model?
Thank you so much for trying......
Anyway, I have tried it out online, doing as Malone suggested, and that does work! So at last I can now check where Sports programmes are being shown, ahead of schedule!
I forgot to ask...did your parcel from Tesco Direct arrive safely?
We have the most beautiful evening here...lovely and sunny but quite fresh.
I hope you have had a good time chatting to your son?

Hello, Elle!
Glad you made progress, but there is no Athletics page in my instructions?
It is every event they are showing, tennis, football, athletics etc in chronological order.
My TV is not state of the art either, maybe 7 or 8 years old, but my programmes arrive through Sky system.
Yes, parcels have arrived from Tesco.
Tesco Direct closes for good on 9th July and prices have been slashed.
I bought tailored trousers for £5, reduced from £12, I think.
Ordered more this afternoon, too!
Temperature is meant to drop here tomorrow.
That is welcome news!

Hello, Jazzgirl!
That is a long list of characters in Under Milk Wood!
It appears to have been a very successful play!

Hello, Malone!
Your system for finding the red button athletics is just the ticket.
I have just tried it.
Well done!

Elle, I'm glad and relieved that you've now got systems in place - the simpler the better works for me!

Rusty, glad the BBC website thing worked for you too. I find it easier to click things on a computer than to key in stuff on a fiddly little remote control! And it wasn't so long ago that my son had to give me step-by-step instructions for quick and easy access to the Red Button.

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, every sports event is there......but I scrolled down to find the Athletics!
Your tailored trousers sound a good deal!
Did you mean that you had ordered more trousers......or something different?
You are indeed fortunate if your local temperature is going to drop.......
According to our weather forecast, ours is set to remain in the high twenties for all of next week!
But there again , it could easily change before then.
I hope it won't be too hot on Sunday.
My daughter is taking part in a charity run for Cancer Research UK on that day......and I should prefer her - and of course ,everyone else participating - not to have to run in such high temperatures.
BB was planning to run, too, at least a part of the way, but the race has clashed with a Beavers' event at church.
He is disappointed as he would have liked to do both!

Hello, Elle!
If you arrived at the page I mentioned and scrolled to Saturday, it states the time the athletics transmission starts and finishes, and that it is on red button?
No, just more trousers.
That is four pairs at £5 per pair, I have bought.
I am pleased!
A pity for your daughter is will be so hot on Sunday.
This dry warm spell is due to last for a while yet!
