Hi, Rusty!
I've had Hudl on and off like a yoyo!
I don't know why it shouldn't be connected to the Internet - I haven' t touched anything to alter the Settings?
The battery is flat now, so I will charge it overnight and check out the Settings tomorrow.
My computer was previously set to update at a certain time...I don't know why the "mutiny".......
Be careful when you are out driving early tomorrow, just in case your roads do turn out to be treacherous!!

Good afternoon, Elle!
How are things with you?
I got my errands completed and am home for the day now.
Done the puzzle, too.
I thought it was a brute, today.
Took me ages!
A good setter, though!

Good afternoon, Rusty!
Yes, things are good here!
I, too, am home now.......and am not going out again today.
I was around earlier this morning....after a very wet walk!
But this afternoon has been pleasantly chaotic!
I've been in and out!
We even had some sunshine ...so it was enjoyable out for a change.
It is good that you got all your tasks completed...you can relax now, for the rest of the day, with a sense of virtue!
I haven't had time to do the crossword yet!

Hi, Rusty!
Rather glumly, I now feel that Christmas is at an end!
I have just taken down all the Christmas baubles from the tree.....
And the cards are now stacked in a tidy pile for re-cycling.......
The room looks bereft of its glory.....!
According to tradition , tomorrow - Twelfth Night - is the last day that Christmas trees and decorations should remain up.
I had left all in its glory, in situ, for as long as possible, in the hope that our grandsons would see them, had they been able to come here this weekend.
But our daughter finally saw her GP on Wednesday...... and has now been officially diagnosed with flu.....the common-or-garden variety luckily.
So she is confined to barracks!
Fortunately, our son-in -law and the two boys are well on the mend , though.
Never mind......we shall look forward to seeing them when all are fit and well!

Hello, Elle!
Yes, good idea getting your Christmas tree down.
We are meant to getting minus 6C temperature over the weekend.
That's cold!
I think you were wise staying away from today's puzzle.
It was a toughie!

Good morning, Rusty!
It is a fine day here....with glimmerings of sunshine, but very cold at 2C.
I am just back from my walk.
We have a clear weekend ahead of us....how about you?
What do you have planned?

Good morning, Elle!
Fine day here!
I have a clear weekend too.
My plan is to stay home and keep warm (I have a bug!)
So, no paper today.
Done the puzzle online, though!

Hi, Rusty!
Oh dear, I'm sorry you're feeling rough.
Is it flu? this seems to be hitting quite hard now.
Yes, best stay indoors and keep warm.
And whatever it is, drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
I am three -quarters way through the 15 x15 - it seems reasonable so far.... a couple I cannot parse........

Hello, Elle!
I have been trying to parse 22a, and 2d, but not quite getting there.
I'll have another look later.
4d, is a new word to me.
I have not looked it up to see the meaning, though.
Been watching the Loch webcam.
The Loch is frozen over mostly, but the swans and ducks have found an unfrozen bit to swim in!

Hi, Rusty!
I think I've got 22a......
shakespeareana = literary collection (def)
shakes - flourishes
pen - writer
a
area - subject
What do you think?

2d: run into = unexpectedly meet (def)
run in - barney
to - closing?
I'm not so sure of this one?

Now 4d.... sestet means the last 6 lines of a sonnet.....I do not understand the apparent definition here?
