Pigale, he was OK.
I prefer sit-coms, though.
I liked "Only Fools and Horses": Trigger was my hero!
And " 'Allo, 'Allo?"
Dad's Army,
What I would call "good innocent comedy".
There was an American show my granddaughters and me used to watch, called, " The Two of Us".
I thought it was great!

Hi, Rusty!
I haven't fallen asleep! now would I do that when listening to one of your stories......?
I've just been trying hard to play catch up with the Athletics, as this may be my only chance...Wimbledon again tomorrow!
Now regarding drugs in sport.....
At the eight Diamond League this afternoon, the French Relay team from the 2012 Olympic Games finally were awarded their Bronze Medals!
The Americans had originally been third in the relay event, but were stripped of their medals because of Tyson Gay's drug suspension.
And more controversy at the British Championships... these are for qualifications for selection for going to Beijing.
This is all about "Plastic Brits". Have you heard the term? it's referring to those athletes who have applied to compete for GB on the grounds that they have duel nationality (like Tiffany Porter's younger sister, and Zharnel Hughes)
There seems to be a division of opinion between existing British athletes - some resenting the newcomers as they weren't BORN in Britain - and obviously because it makes coveted places on the GB team more scarce.
And others who feel that as the newcomers have duel nationality they have a right to represent GB - and also that the more medals we win, the more Lottery Funding we will get! A very good point, of course......
What are your views on this?

Yes, goodnight all.
When the tide is going out, the piers of the old railway bridge still appear above the water.
I wonder where McGonagall is buried?

I never thoughtof it asgenerous, JG, just wanted the space! The College did pay to move it, thank goodness.
600 CDs is an awful lot!
I love marzipan and choc marzipan even better. I was doing a "case study" on Mozart's last illness at the time and was looking for illustrations (that's my excuse). It was February the river looked wonderful in the snow.
Just watched "A song for Jenny". A powerful piece of TV and very well acted.

This is a different Two of Us.
It is two identical twins played by MaryKate and Ashley Olsen. Very funny!
And to this day I don't know MaryKate from Ashley!
I take your point about plastic brits.
It is a tricky one.
My view is that nationality is your blood.
Not where you are born.
My grandchildren are all entitled to Irish passports through me. But their children won't be.
One case I thought about was Chris Froome, the "British" cyclist.
None of his parents were born in Britain, but his grandparents were. He grew up in Africa. Has never lived in Britain, but has a British passport.
Zola Budd was South African yet ran for GB.She had one British grandparent and the Daily Mail campaigned to get her British citizenship. Now she states she is South African. It is tricky.
What is your take on it?
