Good morning, Elle!
Great day here but chilly!
Well done on Bill B!
You are in for a treat!
There's 539 pages in my copy, so it should keep you going for a day or two!
I've no plans, so far.
Took the long way to ASDA earlier.
The girls are all in pink today.
For a breast cancer charity.
An excellent cause.
I am going to record a Sky Arts documentary later,
"Fifty Years of Peter, Paul and Mary"
Hope it's good!
And the Dunhill golf is on, too, from Carnoustie and St Andrews.
They are getting great weather for it!

Ros, good to see your grandson doing well.
I try to see humour even in the darkest of times ... It has certainly helped me to cope. I do know how painful passing a kidney stone can be, but not experienced it myself. My late friend had several and I felt so sorry for her.

Hi, Rusty!
I liked Peter, Paul and Mary!
I think my favourite song, and the one that most often gave me an "earworm", was "Leaving on a Jet Plane".......
Although "Blowing in the Wind" and "If I had a Hammer" were excellent, too.
( Those were also strongly reminiscent of Pete Seeger)
And, of course, "Puff the Magic Dragon"!
Ah, nostalgia!
I am sure the documentary will be great!
Doesn't Miss L-B get her car back today?
Are you taking her to the garage to collect it?
Well, I must go and get changed - I am still in dog-walking gear!
I am going out for lunch soon........
Catch you later.......

Hello, Elle,
I am not too sure what the documentary will show, for they were politically active too, as was Pete Seeger.
But I hope it is good.
I think the car is getting fixed today.
I am not involved with that, but I am involved with Miss ATW needing a heated towel rail in her bathroom!
My son is too busy to do it, but gave me a couple of trustworthy names to try.
Granddaughters !!!

Good afternoon, Rusty!
Home again!
I had a very nice lunch at the local Carvery.
It was fun to go out!
I arrived home in time to take a call from our granddaughter's mum
(our "daughter- in -law who isn't" )
Today, granddaughter's half brother is one year old!
I had tried phoning earlier but had to leave a voicemail message, so I was pleased that she got back to me.
They are all coming to visit us next week!
So that will be good.
Granddaughter, now 7, has put in an order for sausage and chips for her tea!
Did you manage to sort out the towel rail fitting for Miss ATW?

Good evening, Elle!
Glad you enjoyed lunch!
That is good your daughter in law is coming to visit.
It is great that you still see her and family, I think.
I was like that with my mother in law.
I got on great with her although I was divorced from her daughter.
Your granddaughter has a good taste for her tea!
Can't beat sausage and chips!
My granddaughter, Miss O, has texted telling me that her tea was a "culinary delight!"
She seems to be getting posh!
Her Dad made her a curry for tea!
We are working on a towel rail solution.
Not quite straightforward but should have a better idea tomorrow.

Good morning, Rusty!
We have a lovely day here - blue sky, sunshine and with a light (chilly)breeze.
Good walking conditions!
Yes, fortunately, we have a very good relationship with our granddaughter's mum.
She is a lovely girl and we would have been delighted to have her as a daughter- in -law ....but her relationship with our son never progressed that far.
He helps support his daughter and has her at weekends or days when he is not working.
It seems to work out well.
And we get to see them all regularly , which is good!
I hope you sort out the towel rail problem!

Good morning, Elle!
It is a great day here, too.
The golfers at Carnoustie and St Andrews will lap it up!
Your "daughter in law" sounds a champion.
Hang on to her!
The "towel rail" thing is no problem, but impatient granddaughters are!
I have just discovered that I did not do my puzzle yesterday!
So, that's two to do today!
And Friday's is normally a good test!

Hi, Rusty!
We have been out doing a bit of "tidying up" in the garden.
It is too nice to be indoors.
The grass seems to be growing very quickly now .......although we still have the problem patch towards the back, under one of the big trees....
We are daily watering that section and are living in hope that the "new" grass seed planted there will flourish.......!
You will be kept busy with two crosswords to solve, the golf to watch, and the towel rail to sort out for your granddaughter!
I need to go shopping at some point to buy a birthday present for my one -year -old "honorary" grandson!
But I have till Thursday, when they come to visit, to get it!

Hello, Elle!
Yesterday's puzzle is finished but not looked at today's.
Your problem patch may not be getting enough sun if there is a tree shading the ground?
Making progress with the towel rail.
We have a slot for next Thursday morning with my son, pending a pic of rail and pipes, this evening.
The sun is hiding here now.
There is some shenanigans going on at the loch.
I looked in last night around 8.30.
It was pitch black outside here, but broad daylight on the allegedly "live" pictures on the website.
I am at most, 30 miles away, so if it is dark here it should be dark there!
