Hi, Rusty!
I didn't know that Lynsey had been disqualified.
But I have just watched a video showing the alleged incident.... Lynseys' arm became temporarily hooked with that of Lipsey's......but it did not look intentional.
The race was all but over - it happened nearly on the finishing line, anyway.
Lynsey would have gone through as a fastest loser.
I believe that British Athletics are appealing the disqualification decision?

No different from Peter Sagan getting thrown out of Le Tour.
And he is the world No 1 rider.
And whatever camp Sharp is in, I am in the opposite one!
I hope British Athletics lose their appeal.
She could have brought down the American girl.

I don't like Lynsey Sharp either.
Her behaviour in past events ,and, as you say, her tongue, have certainly led her into trouble and caused universal dislike.
But I didn't think, in this particular instance, that she was at fault....certainly no more than whoever pushed Mo Farah, for instance, causing him to stumble and nearly fall.
It did appear to be simply an accident in the general hustle and bustle of the race.
And people are pushed / nudged and do fall.... but there are rarely penalties given out.
But I am not bothered either way!

Apparently Lynsey Sharp has been reinstated, but has a behaviour warning.
She will now run in the 800m Final.
Liz McColgan tweeted that Lynsey was over the line anyway, so there was no difference to the result.
I hadn't realised that?

I do not agree with Liz.
It looked to be before the line.
And it was not an accident.
It was clumsy careless running.
She ran into the American.
She was rightly penalised.
Sharp was at fault, no one else.
I do not follow Liz on Twitter, but all Eilish said was about the splendid run by the two American girls in the steeplechase.

Yes, the two Americans ran brilliantly, taking the Gold and Silver medals.
It was a tremendous triumph for them, outrunning the Kenyans!
Now, you may already know this, but I just came across a notice in my new TV guide about a member of the dancing troupe "Diversity".
Am I remembering correctly - wasn't that one of the acts from BGT that you had especially liked?
One of the members, Robert Anker, has been tragically killed last month in a traffic accident in Ontario.
And speaking of BGT... will it be back soon?
I am missing "The Voice" on a Saturday evening!

The two American girls were superb!
I was cheering them but I was expecting the Kenyans to win, but no, the two Yankee girls were wonderful!
I read about Robert Anker recently but I do not know which one he was?
I only know Ashley Banjo.
Yes, Diversity were the best dance act to appear on BGT.
i thought they were great!
BGT goes out in May, so it is a while away yet!
Neither Laura Muir, Eilish, or Captain Doyle, has mentioned the Lynsey Sharp incident, on Twitter.

It was damp here, too, when I got up, but it dried up for our walk.
Maybe Eididh et al thought that if you cannot say anything nice about someone, it is better to say nothing at all?
Hence the silence about Lynsey!
