Hi, Rusty!
Roger is through to the Final!
It was an excellent match today - Tomas Berdych played very well.
The two men are very good friends off court.
I was just listening to Roger being interviewed post match......
He was saying that there is more to life than tennis.......he wants to be a good husband and father.
He is such a nice guy.
There were a lot of celebrities watching today.
I didn't recognise the cricketers mentioned......but Rod Laver was there...and Paula Radcliffe......and Stefan Edberg watching his fellow countryman.
Did you manage to watch any of it?
How is the golf coming along?

Just watched the highlights of Le Tour (I was cutting the grass this afternoon and out for a curry this evening. The "bottle" saga absolutely stinks! "We'll penalise Uran and Bennet for taking a bottle in the last 20k. Oh no, a Frenchman did it too! Let's cancel all the penalties."

Good stage, though, but the Sky tactics were baffling.

Hello, Elle!
I did not see it. Was occupied!
I went to my granddaughter's house when she came from work.
I did a couple of wee jobs for her.
Draughtproofing a door, and fixing a sticking window blind.
Then I just sat down for a while to get all her news.
I saw Rod Laver yesterday. He's looking well.
I did not recognise anyone else.
I heard Sergio Garcia was there in his Green Jacket cheering on Nadal, but I did not see him.
Jack Nicklaus usually comes for the finals, and the Open is next week, so we may see him.
Jack has a tennis court at home and I have an idea some of the top players practice on it.
Golf is fine, but the midges are out!
Need a breeze to get rid of them.
I watched a bit of the women's golf and discovered there is a Rachel Heck playing!

Hi, Rusty!
That is great that you were able to help Miss ATW with some jobs!
What are grandads for, eh, but to come to the rescue?
And the two of you were able to have a good chat, too, and catch up on each other's news!
Well, it will be a Brit meets Brit in the Mixed Doubles Final!
Jamie and Martina will play Heather and Henri!
I have a sneaking wish for Heather to win, I think?
I have been following her matches.
Do you know which day they will play?
I should think it will be Sunday?
I hope so as I shall miss a lot of the tennis tomorrow...........
Rachel Heck? and Brooke Pancake?
These golfers have some funny names!

Hello, Elle!
Yes, I had a nice time at my granddaughter's.
I do not know when they play.
Well, I like Martina and Jamie, but they have both won before, so it would be nice to see Heather and Henri win.
But are they good enough?
Yes, Rachel Heck is new to me!
Another name I wonder about is a recent winner.
A man called Brooks Koepka.
His first name appears to be a plural?
I am sure he could explain why it is like that.
Just looks a bit odd to me.

Hi, Rusty!
I have it at the back of my mind that Heather and Henri won the Mixed Doubles title last year, and are the defending champions?
They certainly play well together and are a joy to watch!
I shall be at home on Sunday so I hope they will be playing then.
It will be good if the BBC show some of the Seniors' tennis.....
I like watching some of the "oldies" play...
Mansour Bahrami usually gets a mention?
He is very amusing and plays clever very tennis while fooling around!

Hello, Elle!
The back of your mind is correct.
Heather and Henri are defending champs.
I am supporting Martina and Jamie, so.
A busy weekend of sport lies ahead.
Let us hope for good dry weather!

Good morning, Rusty!
Only hazy sunshine so far, here, and the threat of a few showers this morning.
I am hoping for dry weather, though, later this afternoon and evening, when we shall be at the London Stadium for the Parathletics.
I am looking forward to it!
My dog has gone to the seaside for the day!
Isn't she the lucky one?
The friends looking after her for the day (and tonight, because we shall not be home until after midnight ) have taken her and their own dog out for the day down to the Kent coast.
What are your (sporting) plans for today?

Good morning, Elle!
Bit wettish here!
Bolton Wanderers were in town last night playing a pre-season friendly game. They won 2-1.
Good game, apparently!
You have a big day ahead of you and I hope all goes well!
Is the stadium covered?
I have the Tour to watch, bits of golf, bits of tennis, the big race at Newmarket, then more golf.
I shall be worn out!
You willn't have time for your puzzles today?
