Hello, Elle!
My friends are home!
Their youngest has left her bank card at our hospital, and she has broken the screen on her iPad.
I have suggested putting her out in the hen house to sleep where she cannot do any damage!
They only have the very basics to live on in "The Hills".
They would have had to order confetti from the mainland, that's if they knew what it was!
That's good your books will not be too long.
I have been on YouTube.
I watched several clips of the Chinese Women's Army marching on parade.
They are superb! Absolutely faultless!
Type "Chinese Women Soldiers Marching" and that should get it.
The last group to march wore a dark pink uniform, short skirts, and white boots.
Up to now the best marchers I have seen were the Norwegian Army Band, but these Chinese girls are maybe better!

May not be on the rest of the day.
Staying in bed!

Good morning, Rusty!
I am very sorry that you are feeling unwell.
Yes, bed is the best place to be if you are feeling shivery....keep warm and drink plenty of fluids.
Thank you for letting me know....it cuts down on my worrying......
I shall look in later and see if you are feeling any better.

Good morning, Rusty!
I kept an eye out yesterday to see if you were feeling any better and had re-surfaced, but obviously you were still feeling rough and, most probably, very sensibly stayed in bed all day.
Definitely the best place to be!
I hope you are feeling somewhat recovered this morning?
I have to go out shortly to meet my daughter and grandson, but I shall check if you are up and about , when I return late afternoon........

Good morning, Elle!
I think I am turning the corner.
Not nearly right yet but I will get there.
Remember you have Diamond League at 5 pm tomorrow!

Good morning, Rusty!
I am glad that you are feeling a little bit better.
Did you need to have the doctor?
What did he/ she say ?
It is dull and miserable here at the moment...I have just come back from my walk.
Have you had chance to look on the osprey site?
There is a new blog with photographs of blue tits sitting on their newly laid eggs....... the camera is in the nesting box.
The rangers will be following the progress of the tits as well as the ospreys.
I had forgotten about the Diamond League!
Thank you for reminding me!
I shall look forward to watching that.

Hello, Elle!
No doc involved.
Just a flu bug or something like that.
Did you remember the tennis from Estoril?
It is a great morning here.
I drove to ASDA for my paper (no energy for walking!)

Hi, Rusty!
Well, at least you are feeling fit enough to be out and about - even if only in the car.......that is good!
That is a little progress in the right direction.........
No, I didn't remember the tennis either ........ is this the ATP World Tour?
Oh dear, without you being about to remind me, I am hopeless!
I really need to write these things down.......
Any thing strange or startling to report so far, re the tennis matches?
I am just waiting for a friend to arrive and then we are going out .........so if I suddenly disappear, you will know why!
Catch up later ?

Good afternoon, Rusty!
I just got home from "Ladies who Lunch" to find all my books from Amazon awaiting me!
That is good going, isn't it? I had previously been told that the date of arrival would be May 9th.
I received both omnibuses of Lillian Beckwith's stories , plus another book I had more recently ordered.
"The Lady in the Van " by Alan Bennett.
This is a "mostly true"(quote) story about Alan Bennett himself and an old lady whom he allowed to park her van in his drive - for fifteen years!
I already have the film, based on this book, recorded......
Maggie Smith plays the "The Lady in the Van".
I decided I should like to read the book, too.
1p "as new" from Amazon ( the book does not appear even to have been opened!)
I am now well set up with reading material.
How has your day been?
Is you son coming as usual to see you this evening?

Good evening, Elle!
Your books arrived in fine time!
The last Chamber's Dictionary I bought was unopened too.
Cost quite a bit more than 1p though!
It is a lovely evening here.
My son has just left.
Was grand seeing him.
The tennis at Estoril is a warm up event for Roland Garros.
I have not looked at it.
Just had a look on the "Canadian Running" site.
There is a big article on it about the Nike sub two hour marathon attempt on Saturday, at Monza.
The Nike shoes for it are like nothing I've ever seen before!
But, I do not think they will go sub two minutes.
Be good to watch (if I can find out who is showing it, and it does not clash with the Kentucky Derby!)
