Elle, I was so thrilled that it wasn't a Cockneyism, I couldn't wait to reply.
Rusty, you haven't missed anything if you've never eaten kulfi. It's often slightly perfumed and isn't a patch on good Scottish ice cream.

Hello, Elle!
Kulfi is ice-cream from India, apparently.
Malone has made the clue acceptable to me!
There is a big investigation going on into British Cycling.
Jess Varnish's treatment etc. The dictatorship of Brailsford, bullying etc.
They know what Brailsford has said was in the package.
A drug called "flu???????" something, It apparently goes in a nebuliser.
Most folk are extremely sceptical of this.
It can be got in any chemist, but Team Sky brought out a doctor from Manchester with it. He never asked what was in it!!!!
If you believe that you can believe anything!
Nobody goes through Customs carrying a package and not know what is in it.

Hi, Rusty!
I have never heard of "Kulfi" ice cream!
And from Malone's description , I do not think I would like it!
But your query served a useful purpose and I soon completed the south -east corner of the crossword in my efforts to find an answer.
I should think that heads will roll at some stage of this B. C. investigation?
No one in contact with its dirty dealings can surely come away without being "tainted" by it?
Still wet here, but I can no longer hear the wind.......

I've made kulfi several times. The first time, the first three hours of the recipe were making evaporated milk, so subsequently I just started with evaporated milk....

Hello, Elle,
Quite a few riders have spoken out about British Cycling.
Nicole Cooke and Jess Varnish, mainly, but also Victoria, Dame Sarah, Wendy Houvenhagel, etc.
There is quite a list.
Victoria was desperate to escape!
I would not like a young one of mine to get involved with British Cycling.
Apparently, Brailsford and Sutton were being coached in how to answer the parliamentary enquiry folk.
Kulfi is new to me, too.
Anne Bradford knows it, though!

Hi, Rusty!
I am nearing the end of "Return to Paradise."
I was somewhat surprised by "Until they Sail" being considered suitable material for a film?
Until I read the storyline for the film on Wikipedia.....and realised that the original plot had been heavily "doctored".......perhaps "censored" might be even more applicable!
What a turn around in parts!
Oh, how I hate it when that is done!
It should be told how it "happened"!
Have you seen the film?
What did you think?
Christmas Eve tomorrow..........

Hello, Elle!
If I saw the film it was long before I read the book.
I liked the story, what I remember of it.
Do you like the tale?
There are no cannibals in it?
Very few books survive being filmed.
There are often huge changes.
Are you shopping tomorrow?
The traffic was busy here today.
Folk dashing hither and yon.

Hello, Malone,
I liked Mackie's ice cream.
Wonder if that is still on the go?

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I enjoyed the tale...but the depiction of sister Delia was so different in the film (according to Wikipedia) that my "hackles" are still "risen"!
However, I take your point that this often happens - but I can never come to terms with it.
No, no shopping tomorrow! What we haven't got now, we shall have to go without!
Early morning walk for the dog........then elder daughter and family should be here by midday!
(Now, I wonder if we have a spare carrot for Santa's reindeer?)
Yes, Mackie's ice cream is still very much to the fore!
The best ice -cream I have ever tasted ! We have some in our freezer!
How are your winds?
Is there still a suspension on using your bridge?

Sorry, Chris......I missed your post....
I HATE evaporated milk...... I definitely shan't be trying Kulfi!

Hello, Elle!
I thought you'd like the tale.
Jaws stuck closely to the book.
I am going early to the shop, just for milk and my paper.
(And maybe Mackie's Ice Cream!)
Think it is made up in Inverurie, where the "quine" comes from!
Just had a look, Anne Bradford has quine for girl!
Bridge is closed to double decked buses only, now.
We never had a storm here.
Was a bit wet and windy.
Our forecast is not good for Sunday.
Apparently, in Ireland, the Civil Air folk have announced that they have granted Santa Claus permission to enter Irish air space.
The kids love it!
They are glued to the television watching the News!

Good morning, Rusty!
Just returned from the early morning walk!
A bit damp out as yet, supposedly sunshine later.
Have you already bought your milk and paper?
I haven't bothered with a paper today, as I very much doubt I shall have time to look at it.
I have a few tasks to do before the family arrives.
I love the idea of Santa being granted "air space"!
Do you have any plans for today?
