Is it time to give up when I don't even understand the clues given for the clues ! No I will keep going How long have I got until the solutions are going to be published Oh the pressure :)

You are quite right ChrisE I do have the option but do I have the will power. Only had it for 24hrs Nom De plumes completed and I thought I would have done well with the Boudoir but I am blaming having six gatekeepers to the lack of success!
Its the TUC I am really having difficulty with but will keep going- early days yet she says hopefully :)

Well, Ros, I rejected them, but they were SLUNG & SWUNG: believe it or not, I found plausible justifications via Google for both (ie. connections with some Gordon or other). Never mind: the grass is quickly growing over all that (is that English & understandable?) !

Hear hear! I thought Araucaria's recent double-gridded puzzle was fiendish, but now it seems a comparative doddle! Have thrown in the towel & await the answers.

Now, now, gaperon, don't give up. It's really very rewarding. This couldn't have come at a worse time for me; I've had to do it in wee snatches (sooo irksome). I still have to visit several inmates in the SW prison block (some of whom are surely lifers), but otherwise I'm finished, and I actually have fewer question marks than usual. Quite the feat you've performed, Les- not only a masterful construction but some devilish clues besides (of your own I mean). To those of you who expressed frustration with the foreign accents...now you know what it's like! :)
