Very clever indeed! Understand how the jumbles work and the thematic property (I like that), highlighted the arrival point, just pondering which cell I need to highlight for what might then be due.

Worth Googling.

It is unambiguous… but you’d need to be a bit of a fan to know it off the top of your head.

Sorry to hog the posting, but this will be my final post on this - but I will try to assist queries from other solvers. I assume that the use of MIGHT is very important and intentional such that there is only one possible cell to highlight.

Correct. A larger grid would give ambiguity; the presented one is unambiguous.

An excellent puzzle - and definitely better entertainment than its theme!

Of course, another possibility is that nothing is due! :-)

Easier than I expected and most entertaining.

Appreciated the word in the preamble that has a nice double meaning given the theme.

Thanks, Deuce.

Enjoyed this puzzle a lot, thanks Deuce. Some very nice clues I thought and I enjoyed figuring out the letter strings & resolving the unusually entered clues. A fun & mercifully clear endgame. Had a moment of doubt entering 42a (by the way, liked the "reverse abbreviation" in that clue, unusual in my experience) before getting 28d but my faith was indeed rewarded.

I have the basic theme, but I'm struggling with the SE corner, so Elpenor's insights for 42a and 28d could be useful.

Also I have no idea how the answers which are too long fit in.

Thanks for any advice

dylan, if you have the basic theme, and how the puzzle reflects it, the manner in which those answers are entered should become obvious to you. Also, having the message from the misprints will be very helpful.
