Finished early for me (but spent most of yesterday enjoying the Academic Archers online conference: Radio4, not arrows!) so didn't put in much time.

FOI 2
LOI 13

Took a long time to parse 18, but it's clever. Not sure about 13 except definition. An enjoyable puzzle.

Hi Pam,
I like the I concept of the Academic Archers conference. In fact I only came to hear of it via the Archers Podcast with Emma Freud, weekly on BBC Sounds, which is also enjoyable (for fans of the Archers, that is).

I had much the same experience as many others: very easy for a Grauniad prize but enjoyable, did most quickly; it took me ages to realise what 20d is, but when I got there I thought it very clever. However, there's just one clue that I still don't fully understand: 13a. There's an obvious word that fits, and means a landing or landing zone, but I don't get "B"; or should I say I don't get "zone B"?

Look at your answer to 13a!

Hi Micky, for the B, you need to read the solution back as 5,4 as it might be interpreted cryptically.

Thanks, Jono, that makes sense now for 13!

Thanks, Jono. Now I see it. A mixture of a strsight definition and a "backward clue".

Typo: "strsight" = "straight", of course. I actually proof read before posting, but still missed that.
