Not much to say except that after yesterday’s Enigmatist we were perhaps due an easy ride - and certainly got it.

And, surprise surprise, the Quiptic by Anto is far trickier.

Decent Everyman, though not overly taxing.
To alter a quote from Flann O'Brien's The Third Policeman (alteration in braces):

"The beauty of [solving such a puzzle] is that it leads one inescapably to the happy conviction that one is not, of all nincompoops, the greatest."

That was good fun. I liked the Spoonerism. I enjoy ones like this that make you feel vaguely competent as a solver. As opposed to some where you stare hopelessly at the clues for ages and inspiration simply does not strike. Happy Sunday everyone.

Any hints on 26, which has so far eluded me?

26 is the name of a modern artist favoured by crossword setters.
Parses as 5, 2, 3.

Good day everyone. For me, an incredible under 20 minute exercise. With no helping tools used. Not even a 18d. So must have been a little easier than usual.

Likewise, enjoyed the spoonerism. Usual suspects of rhyming pair, primarily, etc.

Hopefully I can now 1a.

My CoD is 1d.

I initially thought this was goint to be tricky, but once I got going, it all fell into place.
A nice fun start to my Sunday.

Like others here I flew through this as far as LOI 11a, for which there can only be one possibly answer to fit the crossers but I can not for the life see how the clue works, any hints please?
