Brendan, don’t see any ambiguity there, especially with crossers in place.

Thanks Buzzybee, thanks Jono, you're both correct - I'm still dazed and confused after my weekend marathon Prize, Everyman and EV... and haven't even started the new IQ yet since I've decided to get a new set of pens and redrawn the previous one in order to do it the proper jusuice it deserves.

I suspect not, but does anyone know if a winner has ever been someone who sent their entry in online as opposed to completing it in the paper and mailing it in?

Yes I did about 1000 years ago. Not submitted ever since.

An addendum. I cannot find the exact date. However, I do recall that at one time the paper published the number of correct entries, and that it was typically between about 100 and 200.

Thanks Buzzybee, but those figures do, perhaps, lead to statistical and probability anomolies. The Genius threads, on average, receive between 30 and 60 posts, then add to that the unknown number of those that read the thread but don't post.

Given these numbers and assuming the number of entrants is still between 100 and 200, I would expect that users of this Forum should be winning with some regularity - that does not seem to be the case?

Stumped on last one, 7d. I've -r-t-n for the transformed grid entry.

I'm tempted by anagram of word for cardboard box beginning with c meaning part of continent

No, move last letter as far as you can. Think French cuisine
