A pleasant and infrequent write-in. The first time I can recall completing Everyman before 8am. FOI:1a. LOI:5a. COD: 17a. Thanks Everyman!

Good fun I thought. 10d probably deserves some form of US indication, and perhaps an odd choice given how many other words would fit there.

Does anyone have snow? None here in London, just rain.

A rare write-in for me, I thought that fitting in such a delightful rhyming pair was rather impressive. Both 10d and 19d seemed obvious from the wordplay but I had to check that they were actual words. Good fun and restored some self-esteem after yesterday's mauling by Brummie! Thanks to Everyman and hope happy Sunday to all.

…and there’s a nicely judged Quiptic by Picaroon today as well.

My first thought was Tony in 14a too.
I had heard 10d, but never 19d without two extra letters.

You're one up on me! I can't see the rationale behind 18d.

A absolute write-in today! Thanks for the heads up Jono - might give the Picaroon Quiptic a try.

Lots of snow here in frosty Oslo. Minus 12!

Henen,

18d - when someone sits in a bar trying to make their pint last all night, they often said to be ??????? their drink.
