The clues...
Requests for help should normally include the clue itself, the number of letters in the answer, and details of any you already have. Any additional information or special instructions, common in Listeners, should also be included.
HINTS only, please, no answers.

The theme...
Help towards the theme may be sought here. The help should be fairly gentle in nature, just a pointer or a nudge in the right direction. DON'T post anything that would spoil the puzzle for other solvers. Any posts which, even inadvertently, reveal too much of the theme are likely to be removed.

In general...
There are many regulars on the Listener threads, but newcomers are very welcome - and should be made to feel so.
Unsolicited help with the clues or the theme will be removed.
The Listener is a unique puzzle and should be treated with respect.

NB This is being posted a little early. Christmas is less than a week away, so it's time I got the sprouts on.

Very jolly. However I'm unable to tease the wordplay for 7, although the answer is clear enough.

Thanks for an enjoyable puzzle Lionheart. Cockie - I don't get 7D either!

Such a great PDM! The original grid wasn't very challenging (other than 7D, which I too cannot parse), but I was looking at a GWIT until I got it.

Nice puzzle, Lionheart. Merry Christmas.

I see 7 dow as an "and lit" clue with the second word needing to pronounced in two different ways. I thought it was one the best clues I have seen for a long time.

Thanks, 0pt0. Now that I see it (and it still took a little while, perhaps because I thought that I'd already explored the two pronunciations), I agree that it's a really good clue.

Bit of a mixed bag for me on this one. I went from guessing what would be in the 6 clashing cells and what would happen with the 7 non word entries before solving a single clue to stuck for hours on the final step.

Still I can appreciate the construction and got a good laugh approaching various family members asking what the word in circles means while sorting through my confusion. Thanks Lionheart

I have a complete grid, but only 5 clashes. I think the sum of the 12 clues involved is 272, is that correct?

ditto, 272 is right.
