Chrise another auto antonym that can cause great confusion is arguable which can mean doubtful or plausible depending on context. English is truly a fabulous language to set cryptic crosswords in.
I enjoyed today’s crossword. Some clever anagrams.

17a coffindodger. Definition is the last word, take a synonym of the first word, then at the beginning swap one US political party for another. I'm a big Everyman fan, but found this one a bit pedestrian, and very much easier than the last few week's puzzles.

Thank you - everyone had been very supportive to me. Some really useful tips. However, some comments are more confusing that the actual clues! Haha

I've been a little busy these last few weeks, so storing up the Everymans to do over Christmas. Does anyone now what is going to happen about access to Sunday puzzles after the handover is complete? Will we still be able to access the archive?

Fernie, it seems no one knows the answer as to the fate of the Everyman and Azed puzzles once the sale goes through. I imagine that crosswords are fairly low down on the list of things to sort out when selling a newspaper.

It’s fair to assume that new Observer puzzles will sit behind a paywall of some sort, but your question as to the archive of old puzzles is an interesting one. Perhaps they will stay with the Guardian and be freely available. Let’s hope so.
