I was thinking of a homonym of the answer .. i.e. where it goes?

Nunoesque, jut because people often comment after they have finished and mention what they liked or disliked about the puzzle doesn't meant that everyone found it easy!

I have been using the forum for years and it has helped me no end, such that I can ususally finish most Prize and Everyman puzzles which I certainly couldn't before.

Don't be afraid to ask for hints - often unlocking one or two key solutions can open up the rest of the crossword.

I certainly didn't find today's easy and without consulting the forum I wouldn't have worked out 14a or 20a, both of which had me stumped.

We have all been through the learning curve, and some us (speaking for myself) are still learning on a weekly basis from the more skilled and erudite solvers on here.

I hope you stick with us!

Thank you Jono. Finding it much trickier today than usual. I’ve solved a few so hopefully they will help me unlock some more. I’ve no doubt I will be back for some help.

Nunoesque - ditto from me.

Post #2 refers to 'the usual guests' which i think means regular types of clues.

E g. The two long down clues today are a rhyming pair.

Unusually there is no 'primarily'.

A couple of hiddens.

Several anagrams.

No spoonerism.

And like JustSolve - am still learning.

Good morning,

3 Sittings today have yielded 5 solutions. Don’t laugh!

I have no idea how to approach 1a. What kind of clue is it?

Hi, I am not sure about 1a!

But the solution is a meaning for the second two words I think.

But there is another meaning which has a synonym of 'adhere' - new to me! So a double definition?

1a comes up often as an example of an auto-antonym.

I made 5d a "primarily", yevrah, though it doesn't use that indicator.
