Morning, always like these on sundays. COD 17. I THINK.

Nice distraction from the noise of the wind and the lights having fused! COD 19a. Needed assistance from my partner on 2d 17a and 14d. How annoying when he just tells me the answers within seconds.

Are there THREE thematic pairs this week?! Truly impressive if this was deliberate (the third one might be a stretch). COD still the (unpaired as far as I can see) 19A though.

I liked 19A as well. 13D will irk some purists but I thought it was hilarious.

Why does "tiny oriental" (I assume) give the last 4 letters of 26a?

It's just "tiny" - "Oriental feline" is the defintiion.

26 may have been designed in the ‘orient’, but the character herself is British

I found this puzzle rather difficult, but finally got there

Merriam Webster gives the alternative spelling of the 'polka dot bikini size' without the 's'
