After last week's Lord Mayor's show.....

Still some ingenious clues ( 23a , 14d), alongside more prosaic fodder.

LOI 15d. Can't parse answer!

Same here, I can't understand 15d at all. There's an obvious word that means "friends" that fits the crossers P?L? - but as for the rest of the clue?

Surely can only be the obvious? Had trouble parsing 6d too tho' again answer seems a shoo-in.

6d - this is my COD

Single letter "north" then 5 letter "African capital" minus a letter/'not about' followed by "book" and "writer" 1,1

Re 15d. If you reverse the word, and put "up" after it, it could be a synonym for "exquisite".

Cheers Brendan. I'm going boss-eyed staring at 15d. Better leave it for posterity.

I think mattrom is correct re. 15d, which I couldn't parse.

Funny, I went out last Saturday and skipped the Everyman. Just clicked on last week's inadvertently, before the current one was posted, and 4066 is brilliant, though a bit difficult.

This one (4067) is solid but not up to the level of 4066.

All pretty straightforward bar the parsing of 15d which it looks as if Mattrom got to the bottom of.

I'm struggling to understand how the plurals I'm the clue to 14s result in a singular pronoun in the solution. A small niggle but I am wondering if I have missed something obvious?

Certainly a much easier Everyman than last week's, and an antidote to yesterday's Prize which I am still battling with!

Justsolve, read the last word of your solution to 14d as two letters
