Yes Brendan but it all feels a bit pointless somehow. You kind of feel right now just give them the trophy at the start of the season if it makes them happy and leave the rest of us to get on with it.

Finished on a Saturday, unusual. Didn't spot the theme till reading here. Couldn't parse the last bit of 7 till reading here, and struggled with 2d though had the answer from the definition (and the crosser with 10a).

Foi: 13a
Loi: 26a
Cod: 8 or 24 for neatness, but perhaps the cheeky 10

I finished this with no help from the hints here for the first time I can remember. I'm feeling rather pleased with myself. Lol was 4d, easiest clue was 3d if you knew the word's meaning, which I didn't. Can confirm the theme in 2d is from Texas, one of my favourites.
