The clues...

Requests for help should normally include the clue itself, the number of letters in the answer and details of any you already have. Any special instructions or additional information, common in Listener puzzles, should also be included.
Hints only, please, no answers.

The theme...
Help towards the theme may also be sought here. The help given should be just a nudge, a pointer in the right direction - and definitely not anything which would spoil the puzzle for others. Any posts which, even inadvertently, reveal too much of the theme are likely to be removed.

Although there are many regulars on these Listener threads, newcomers are always welcome.

The Listener is a unique puzzle and should be treated with respect.

PS - Malone asked me to post as she was otherwise engaged all day. I’m posting earlier than usual as it’s a nice sunny day and I’m going out shortly.

Pretty simple to fill grid and obtain instruction

Is this a really annoying grid-stare or something actually rewarding?

Agreed, a fairly easy grid fill -- though with my reading of the wordplay I get an I instead of the required A as the 16th letter of the instruction.

Thought this would be one I didn't have much to say about, seems simple enough on the surface. But I'm impressed with the finish of this to the point that it might be one of my favorites of the year so far. Big thanks Harribobs!

Throck - I believe that letter comes from a proper noun. Not one I was familiar with, but one that came up quickly on a Google search with the exact words of the clue.

Woodlouse - for once, not a grid stare at all.

A bit of guesswork required for the end perhaps - but admirably satisfying once solved.

I’m getting close to finishing this. Could someone help me towards solving 23ac? “Possible slogan for Action Fraud group”(7). I have an answer for 37a which presumably is the abbreviation of the rubric but I cannot really parse it. The dimensions of the endgame would be useful as my brain does not cope with such things very well! Thank you.

Yes please help me too with 23a!
Also can't see 7d solution, which seems to start with 'over' which is odd when over is actually in the clue?

37a must be 'and lit'. Definition and wordplay the same.
Extra letter in pond.

23ac Def. is 'group'. The whole thing plus the extra letter could be written on the placard of a action group opposed to falsehoods...
