Just one to go and I'm completely flummoxed by 21a: Military"s first out-and-out drone (6). I have M?T?E? I'd be very grateful for some help please.

I believe it is 'M' followed by a word meaning 'out and out'.
Curiously when I looked up 'drone' in Chambers it didn't give the 'm' word, but when I looked up the 'm' it gave 'drone' as an alternative. But only in the app, not in the book! But if you look up 'out-and-out' in either Chambers it gives the correct 5 letter word.

Thakyou. I didn't think I was going to get a response, so I eventually made a list of all likely words and decided on 'mutter'. Then I realised 'utter' meant 'out and out' and just couldn't understand why I didn't get it in the first place!
