Re 13D - so that's two clue typos in consecutive weeks. It's like the good old days of the Grauniad. Maybe the subs will be back off their summer hols next week?

Definitely a quicker than usual solve today which is good as a busy day yesterday means I’m still only 2/3rds through the Prize!

I agree with Teewens explanation of 10 - File, Edit, Format etc are all these…and I still have no ‘son’ in 13 so was pleased that little quibble was cleared up!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and come on England!!

Yes, quicker than last week for me. Thanks to those on here for 26 and 7. I also think 'file' is not correct for the answer (IT bod here) and 'milk' very much helped me start off.

Very much back to form for Everyman this week. Personally I was also enjoying the tougher ones but I think people like to know what they're going to get.

Interesting 23a mirrored yesterday's prize 10a which apparently was set in Sept 2021 which is a huge coincidence. Also the 'son' is still not present on Android. Think my COD is 3d.

Thank you drjax @22...10a is actually rather a good clue now that I have read it properly!

I am lost and am very jealous of those who found this easy.

I have solved 6a, 15a, 19a, 24a, 26a.
I have solved 7d, 11d, 19d, 21d, 22d.

7d I actually had another 3 letters instead of PRE so I technically did not solve that clue.

I can see that 12a is an anagram (I think) but it means nothing to me.

Can I ask for guidance in solving 1a, 9a, 12a please?

Druh6sm, I wish you;d given the clues - I don't see Everyman! I've had a look online.
1 A - a sounds like clue, what kind of milk do you buy...
12 - An anagram, leading to a place to buy cheap or used things...

Hi Druh,
I didn’t find this particularly easy either if that’s any consolation.
1a is a 3 letter word for crazy, the a reversal (about) of a word for a long tale (but not the same word as in 6a) then what a saloon might be an example of.
9a is what you would do to milk to sterilise it.
You are correct in thinking 12a is an anagram… so keep going with that one as I’m sure you’ll get there.

Sorry, Druh, I got my numbers mixed up because I was juggling screens. I'm sure the help you've got will sort those clues out now.
