One of the items to be found in the grid has 3 different possible routes for its 1st 5 letters.

I have 4 examples which only come to 30 letters, so I guess I'm looking for a longer version of one of them. Does 'tortuous' include 'diagonal'?

I have 6,11,7,12, Is one of your examples missing a 6 letter prefix ?

Mattrom - yes. Two of the examples involve diagonal, horizontal, and vertical tracery.

I’m confused by the highlighting. The 6 and 11 seem straightforward. My 12 seems tortuous, albeit contiguous, though there are options for the first four letters and the last one. As for the 7, I’m stuck. There are a few promising leads, but maybe I’ve gone astray

Any hints on 15A and 16D would be much appreciated!!
