Neville, in NW corner these 2 should get you a toehold:
10 defn "issue" reversed 4-letter (US) "magazine"
2 defn "join" parses as (1,3)

Yes a tough one. I think mainly because the definitions have been cleverly disguised by Tramp. I'm finding it's one of those where you tend to get the answer and then try and work it out later. Which brings me to 7d. How does it parse.

Don't really get 6d either.

rocky, 7 is an excellent clue.
Defn "Celebrated". Parses as "over" (1) inside "eat out[side]" (6) with first letter removed.

You're right geeker that is an excellent clue. Genuinely I think I could have looked at that all day and still not seen it. Thanks.

Just finished with 24a. What a great clue and very of this crossword's style. A little Paulish in nature too. Never heard of 23d but realise it was necessary for row 15 to work. Nice puzzle from Tramp and a fine tribute to a brave woman.

COD there were so many good ones but I'm going 13d.

Speaking of Ninas, Serpent (aka Jack in Guardian among others), who often includes them, set today's Indy puzzle. I'm just about to start on it.

Hi Geeker

Really struggling this week. What is a NINA? I've forgotten.

Hi everyone, I enjoyed this but it took a few goes over the day. Thanks for the NINA heads up - got me over the line! I'm not convinced by my 18a though - could someone break it down for me? Thanks
